“THOSE LITTLE FEET WON'T BE LITTLE FOREVER” ASHLEE EDENS
You’ve waited nine months for this little person to arrive in your life and when they do arrive, they will transform it, and you, beyond recognition.
Those early weeks of life – the tiny hands and feet, the sleepless nights – It’s such an intense time and it passes so quickly that the little details can be easily forgotten.
Taking the time to pause and treat yourself to a photoshoot gives you the opportunity to take a breath and appreciate the early weeks of parenthood. It’s a gift to yourself – a lifelong memory of this amazing time in your family’s life – a time you’ll never get back.
Since I took photos of my own newborn daughter, the art of capturing life’s most precious moments has been my passion.
This is a time to put yourself in the hands of a professional. As an award winning classically trained studio photographer, I’ve been taking beautiful newborn portraits for over a decade.
My training and experience means I know how to get the very best shots of your baby while always putting their safety and comfort first.
Using cutting-edge equipment and techniques, I create unique and inspiring shots that convey the magic of the early weeks of your child’s life, while reflecting your family’s style.
I learned from the best newborn photographer in the business, Kelly Brown. There’s more to this genre of photography than pointing a camera at a cute baby. Safely posing and handling tiny humans, lighting and styling are skills I continually stay on top of as a member of Kelly’s community.
But just as important as my experience and skill as a photographer is the time I take to build a relationship with you, to understand who you are and what you’re looking for.
Everything about the shoot is led by you and your baby – I will never compromise your child’s comfort and wellbeing to get the shot. I will guide you through the session so there are no surprises and you feel certain your baby is in good hands.

My job is to produce images that paint a picture or tell a story. The preparation to achieve that is different for each baby. What your baby needs is unique to your family, and the result you’re looking for.
The best time to have your photos taken is within 10 days of your baby’s birth as they will be sleepy and easily positioned in one of my many soft wraps. But just in case, I have many tips and tricks for getting a newborn to sleep! Feeding just beforehand is key!
I’ll sit down with you beforehand to agree exactly what you’re looking for, to get a feel for what inspires you, and to walk you through what will happen during your shoot.

I know how full-on those early weeks can be, so if you prefer I can bring my mobile studio set-up to you at home.
However, many new parents enjoy coming to my warm, relaxed home studio near Epsom in Surrey. There you can sit back on the sofa and read a magazine while I take photos of your baby.
I have a full set of props, blanket, background and accessories and have years of experience of creating the perfect, calm environment so you and your baby feel content and secure. I want parents to enjoy watching me capture every little detail – those tiny fingers and toes! – of their new baby.
Only the best photos are presented to you, cleaned up and edited for clarity and colour for you to review.
You’ll be sent a password protected link to view your images online. You can review, select your favourite, make your purchases which will then be delivered to your door.
All prints and wall art are purchased separately. With each print you purchase you’ll also receive a digital file of the image.

I use one of the best professional photographic laboratories in the country to process and print your chosen images. Their work is of the highest standards but I also personally check all prints before they’re packaged up and sent to you.
